Model Bella Hadid has apologized to fans after sharing an emotional social media post about her ongoing battle with Lyme disease. The 29-year-old explained that she did not mean to alarm anyone but wanted to be honest about the daily challenges she continues to face while living with the chronic illness.

Bella recently posted a close-up selfie on her Instagram Stories showing tears rolling down her face during a severe flare-up of her symptoms. Alongside the photo, she revealed that she had tried numerous treatments and even believed she had developed several additional health problems because nothing seemed to improve her condition.

The emotional update quickly attracted attention from fans around the world, many of whom expressed concern and sent messages of support. Shortly afterward, Bella returned to social media to reassure her followers and thank them for their kindness.

In her follow-up message, Bella apologized to anyone who became worried after seeing her post. She explained that although the situation may have appeared shocking, it reflects the reality of living with Lyme disease, which she has managed for the past 15 years.

She said her illness comes in waves, with both good days and difficult days. While she has learned to cope with the condition over time, she admitted that the latest flare-up left her feeling emotionally overwhelmed because her body could not keep up with the goals and plans she wanted to achieve.

Bella also shared a hopeful message with her supporters. She said every day brings a new opportunity and expressed hope that the following day would be better. She thanked her fans for their encouragement, saying she had not expected such an outpouring of support and was deeply grateful for their kindness.

The model was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2013 when she was 16 years old. Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that is usually spread through the bite of an infected tick. If not treated early, it can cause long-term health problems affecting multiple parts of the body.

Bella has spoken publicly over the years about the symptoms she experiences, including severe joint pain, extreme fatigue, anxiety, brain fog, and other physical and mental health challenges. Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, and her brother, Anwar Hadid, have also publicly shared their own experiences with Lyme disease.

In her latest health update, Bella described how difficult everyday activities had become during the current flare-up. She revealed that simply walking to the kitchen left her short of breath and that taking a shower without fainting felt like a major accomplishment.

She also explained that she had been sleeping for about 11 hours each night while still needing naps during the day because of overwhelming exhaustion. According to Bella, she has followed treatment plans recommended by many different doctors but has not experienced meaningful improvement.

The model used humor to describe how mentally exhausted she felt. She joked that it seemed as though only two brain cells were still working and that they were struggling with each other. Bella added that because of her own experience, she no longer felt comfortable encouraging others to keep journals on particularly difficult days.

In an earlier message, Bella admitted that explaining her symptoms is often intimidating because the illness can change from day to day. She said the uncertainty surrounding her health has become especially challenging now that some of the treatments and health protocols that previously helped are no longer providing relief.

Bella has continued to balance her health while maintaining an international modeling career. Over the years, she has frequently used her public platform to raise awareness about Lyme disease and the challenges faced by people living with chronic illnesses.

Her latest update highlights the unpredictable nature of Lyme disease and the physical and emotional impact it can have on daily life. While Bella acknowledged the frustration of her current condition, she also emphasized the importance of hope, resilience, and appreciating the support she continues to receive from family, friends, and fans around the world.
