De Niro Sounds Alarm on Trump

Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro has once again spoken out against Donald Trump, warning that the president “will never leave” office and urging Americans to take action at the ballot box. Appearing on MS NOW and at a National Press Club event called “State of the Swamp,” De Niro described the country as being run by “a handful of dishonest and greedy and cruel authoritarians” and said he felt “betrayed by my country.”

Trump Fires Back on Social Media

Trump responded angrily on Truth Social, targeting De Niro as well as Democratic Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, calling them “lunatics” and suggesting deportation. He labeled De Niro “deranged” and “seriously CRIMINAL,” comparing him unfavorably to Rosie O’Donnell, whom Trump previously threatened with citizenship revocation despite Supreme Court precedent prohibiting such action.

Polls Show Public Concern Over Leadership

Recent polls reveal that 61 percent of Americans view Trump as having become erratic with age, including 89 percent of Democrats and 64 percent of independents. Another survey indicates that 79 percent of respondents feel US political leaders are too old to represent most Americans, with the average age in the Senate at 64 and 58 in the House. A Washington Post/ABC News/IPSOS poll also showed just 39 percent of Americans approve of how Trump is handling the presidency. White House spokesman Davis Ingle dismissed these results as “fake and desperate narratives,” highlighting the deep polarization surrounding the president’s leadership.
