The Israeli army launched a major offensive in Gaza City on Friday.
Officials declared the city a combat zone, prompting global criticism.
Health officials reported Gaza’s death toll has climbed to 63,025.
Hospitals confirmed 59 deaths in the past 24 hours alone.
Aid groups and a church vowed to remain, sheltering displaced and starving civilians.

    Netanyahu Defends Military Operation

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel must dismantle Hamas in Gaza City.
He insisted the offensive prevents another attack like that of October 7, 2023.
The army claimed Hamas still operates a tunnel network under the city.
Explosions and heavy smoke rose across the border in southern Israel Friday morning.
Despite condemnation, residents said international criticism has not halted Israeli attacks.

    Families Displaced Amid Rising Toll

Gaza’s Health Ministry confirmed over 63,000 deaths since the war began.
The ministry said 322 people, including 121 children, died from malnutrition.
Israel disputes the numbers but offers no alternative figures.
Aid agencies described difficulty delivering supplies despite “tactical pauses” last month.
On Friday, Israel called up tens of thousands of reservists, escalating its campaign.
Army spokesperson Avichay Adraee promised intensified strikes until hostages return and Hamas collapses.
He urged civilians to flee south, calling evacuation “inevitable.”
Some families erected makeshift tents in central Gaza after abandoning their homes.
“We are thrown in the streets like dogs. Dogs live better than us,” said Mohammed Maarouf.
